Specialist in the verbo-tonal method

The verbo-tonal method (MVT) uses techniques that improve how you hear sounds, speech rhythm and syllable patterns to help you develop more accurate pronunciation.

I discovered the verbo-tonal method through a MOOC in 2018. In 2021, I completed training in verbo-tonal corrective and integrative phonetics at the Alliance Française in Padua, Italy. I deepened my practice through two further training courses in 2024 and 2025 with Magali Boureux, José Sobrecases and Michel Billières at the Alliance Française in Padua, both online and in person.

In autumn 2025, I continued this professional development with a teacher-training course in pronunciation support led by Sébastien Palusci and Laure Fesquet (Fonetix).

I look forward to welcoming you to my pronunciation and language discovery programmes, created especially for Planète Français students.

How we teach

Before class

Read and listen

Discover the passages you will work on and tune your ear to the rhythm, the sounds and the intonation.

During class

Practise with your teacher

Read aloud and repeat. Your teacher gives you corrections and explains exactly how to improve.

After class

Record yourself and repeat

Revisit the passages at your own pace, listen to your voice and repeat to make faster progress.

How to choose

Your priority is pronunciation

Choose Dialogues and pronunciation to practise through situations and performed texts, or Reading and pronunciation if you enjoy working through a book.

You want to understand how French works

Parler comme jamais invites you to explore language use and discuss ideas. Oulipo workshops let you experiment with French through reading and creative activities.

The four programmes complement one another. Each page explains the level, preparation and class format.

What our students say

The prosody, or musicality, of French is very interesting, as is Nathalie’s advice on improving our accents. Nathalie is always ready to help us get to grips with French and notice our mistakes.

I don’t think I realised how important good French pronunciation was until I took this course with Natalie. In a very friendly group, she patiently helped us listen to and speak French more accurately.

This class gave me the opportunity to work on my main difficulty in French — pronunciation — in a very pleasant setting, with an experienced, attentive teacher. Being able to watch the replay is very helpful.

I'm looking forward to the next course. Learning another language is a challenge for most adult learners. It's a challenge because one really need to learn two languages: the written and the spoken. They are as different as night and day.

I enjoyed the focused pronunciation practice through reading. I found the emphasis on correcting my mistakes very helpful.

The reading and pronunciation course was very effective. First, I liked the way my pronunciation was corrected, because I have trouble pronouncing sounds such as the French ‘u’.

La Grammaire est une Chanson Douce is an imaginative book. Erik Orsenna shows us how French sings like a gentle song. It is the perfect book to help us improve our speaking, so that one day we can speak — almost sing — the French language.
